I heart Advent
Advent means "coming". We are waiting for something sure and certain, with longing and anticipation. Week one of Advent the candle is lit for hope. Not the kind of cross my fingers hope-so hope, but real hope, as in waiting for someone/something to be birthed. Waiting on God. In hope, longing for Him to come bringing light to the hopeless darkness. A stark, piercing, peaceful light is coming to uncover, recover, and restore...hope. Wait with me.

I heart Advent too. This Advent season seems special to me. I have felt the hope more intensely this year. Don't know why, but it feels right.
Wow, I love your description of Advent. So beautiful!
I just surfed in via Karl's Crappy Christian blog and wanted to say hi.
yeah, i love the way you described it too. i feel it this year, too, in some weird way i haven't in a while. love kathy
Susan and Kathy: yeah, things do seem a little different this year. Is it because the world is in a place where hope is needed all the more? I think my own journey in the past year has led to a place of greater longing for the kingdom to turn things upside down. So, a season of hope is right on time.
Heather: Welcome! Glad you found your way here. Thanks for your comment.
Wow ... first of all because you really struck a chord. Secondly because I'm amazed that anything could. My heart barely registers a pulse at the moment so thank you, thank you, thank you for tugging at it and re-awakening something deep within. Hope ... I'll accept your invitation to join the group in the waiting room.
